Hi! My name is Terin Voisine. I am originally from Maine, but I have lived in New Hampshire for the last 16 years.My undergraduate degree is in Mathematics and I started my professional career as a Mutual Fund Accountant before switching to teaching 16 years ago. I have never regretted making the switch! I taught middle school for three years before moving up to the high school school I currently work at. During that time I have taught every course from Pre-Algebra to Pre-Calculus and Statistics. This year I am also working as as adjunct professor and teaching Quantitative Reasoning.
I have been slowly plugging away at an M.Ed. in Educational Technology, with a concentration in Mathematics for the last few years, and really kicking myself for not doing it right after my undergraduate degree 19 years ago! After this course, I have two more math courses and then I will be done. I am hoping to complete everything this summer!
When I am not teaching, my family LOVES vacationing at Disney World and Universal, and some would say we are obsessed with all things Disney and Harry Potter!

ReplyDeleteI grew up in Lincoln, but I lived in the Portland area from 1998-2003. I even did my student teaching at Scarborough High School and my best friend lives there now (you probably know her children) so I know the area very well. I am always excited to meet people from Maine!
